7th July saw the ever official running of the Bowland Badass ultra cyclo-sportive sponsered by Lakes Garage Doors. The Bowland Badass is an 166 mile clover shaped route taking in every note worthy climb within The Forest of Bowland with a total of 18,500 feet of climbing.
James Darnell co-organised the event and our Garstang garage door showroom was used for the start and finish, two of our vans were also used for feed stations/checkpoints. The fastest rider Sven Wardle was crowned King of the Bowland Badass with a time of 10 hours 59 minutes, the ‘Badass Rouge’ the last finishing rider was Ted Platt.
