Cedar Door Buxton side hinged has a traditional chevron design that will suit properties both old and new.
The Cedar Door Buxton side hinged, like all Cedar Door garage doors, is made from Western Red Cedar. The Cedar comes from North America and is mainly taken from managed forests, where regeneration programs ensure a perpetual harvest.
This door like many of the Cedar Door doors is made using the traditional boarding method. First of all, a solid cedar chassis is created from solid cedar stiles and rails using mortice and tenon joints. Once the chassis has been created the tongue and groove boards are then glue bonded on to it. This creates a solid and ridged panel.
The Buxton Doors are available in made to measure sizes from 6ft to 10ft wide by 5ft 6ins to 8ft high with a choice of hardware combinations to suit your style. The Buxton is created in a chevron design which can look equally great on either a tradition or modern house.
Depending on the location and position of the door, a Factory fully finishing option could last up to 7-10 years before recoating – this will give the door a hard satin long lasting finish. To ensure a long lasting door we recommend that you choose the fully finished option for both your door and frame.
The Cedar Door Buxton Side Hinged door provides an alternative option to the ‘up & over’ method of opening, giving a more conventional opening style of garage door. The Cedar Door Buxton is constructed traditionally with solid cedar rails and stiles, with panels of either solid cedar or plywood; all joints are mortice and tenon, glued and wedged. This is the strongest joint method in door construction.
