Here at Lakes we’ve been installing SeceuroGlide doors for over 15 years. They are manufactured just 30 minutes from our head office in Garstang.
The SeceuroGlide opens vertically meaning that you can drive right up to the garage door without having to worry about the door swinging out and hitting the car. Inside the garage the door only takes up 300mm of headroom and there are no unsightly tracks blocking your roof space.
Construction and Insulation
The curtain itself is made from a double skinned 77mm aluminium slat which is foam filled. It is this construction that gives the door its strength. The guides are also aluminium whereas the end plates are steel for extra strength at this critical point.
SeceuroGlide Automation and Safety
As standard you SeceuroGlide will come automated. It uses a discreet tubular motor which is hidden away inside the axel. To operate the door you will have a wall unit that has operating buttons and a courtesy light. The light comes on every time the door is operated and stays on for a minute or so before automatically switching off. You will also receive as standard two remote handsets that can be chosen from a range of designs. Inside the bottom seal of the door there is a safety edge. As soon as the safety edge detects an obstruction the door will stop then reverse. In the event of a power failure there is an emergency crank handle which allows you to operate the door manually.
