The classic Georgian panels and glazing give the Cedar Door Middleton Side Hinged a luxuy feel.
The Middleton like the Edale has windows in the top quarter of the door; glazing is of 4mm safety glass in plain, stippled or Flemish pattern with a plain, diamond or square leaded design. Unlike the Edale though, the Middleton has a long panelled effect in the lower part of the door. This is constructed from solid panels which are then glue bonded on to a solid cedar frame to form an extremely stiff and durable panel.
The Cedar Door Middleton side hingedcomes with a light oak dip stain. This gives a mild seal coating designed to protect the door during transport and installation – the stain can last up to 6 weeks. However, to ensure a long life for your door we recommend that you either go for a fully finished door, or give the door a top coat immediately after installation.
The Middleton is available in a range of our Factory fully furnishing options. This gives the door a hard satin long lasting finish that could last up to 7-10 years before recoating – depending on the location and the positioning of your door.
The Cedar Door Middleton side hinged is manufactured from the finest grade of Kiln Dried Western Red Cedar. All top, middle and bottom rails are solid Cedar, finished to a thickness to suit the size of door with nominal width sizes. The wood is selected and crafted using traditional door construction joints and methods – i.e. mortice and tenon, glued and wedged – on all structural timbers to give strength and a long lasting service, proven over many years of door manufacturing.
